Love and The Ultimate Violence

Many books, poetry/poems, songs, and movies often explore how love and violence often go hand in hand. However, this song just made me realize that the ultimate violence love is capable of is by making someone exists entirely for the person he/ she loves, especially when that person does not return the feeling. To let love defines your entire existence and identity when it is a one sided affair is terrifying when most of us often find it very hard simply to exist at all, to make our tiny little mark in the world, and try to leave traces after we’ve gone.
McLachlan’s songs are always worth listening to, as her lyrics are very deep and her voice is simply breathtaking. Please enjoy this song: Do What You Have To Do by Sarah McLachlan
